When a Feature year finishes you will need to archive the blog posts and add new ones for your next promotion. The current "count" for blog posts in a Feature is 12 (although this is quite a lot, ideal is probably about 6-8) - if you add your new posts before archiving you will find this will distort the size of the blog as it appears on the Feature home page once you exceed 12 posts.

If you still want to keep all posts (although this makes the page look very long and narrow) you need to increase the post count. You find the post count in your Feature home page Oxygen | Easy Posts | Primary | Grid Layout.

Alternatively it's best to archive your old posts first then add in (or publish drafts) of your new ones.

To archive Feature posts on changeover -

  • In WP go to Pages | Hibiscus Coast Feature Archives and open in Oxygen
  • Open the Structure panel (top right little lines)
  • Duplicate the latest (top) Feature section in the structure
  • Rename title to your current Feature you are archiving
  • Change the Heading and top Text
  • In the Div don't touch the toggle autoclose code box
  • But in the toggle Heading change the Feature title
  • Then in each Link Wrapper add the link in the left column to the article you are archiving (to do this click on the "set" and you can just type in the search bar and wait for the right link to appear)
  • Then in the Text Link change the name of the post
  • Add or delete Link Wrappers as needed
  • SAVE

Then go to each of the posts you are archiving and change their category in the right column to the archive version of the Feature and untick the live version.
